Celebrate Recovery and Addiction Specialist - Mexico

One of the biggest challenges that homeless youth face is overcoming drug and alcohol addictions. Thus, the Celebrate Recovery and addiction specialist will work with the homeless youth to help them overcome their addictions.  As these young people begin to leave their addictions their odds of getting off the streets and staying off the streets go up dramatically.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop individualized assessment and treatment planning
• Addiction counseling and support
• Relapse prevention strategies
• Spiritual guidance and healing
• Educate the community about addiction
• Follow-up and after care with youth

Skill Requirements

• Addiction counseling experience
• Ability to connect with homeless youth, showing genuine care, and understanding
• Effectively respond to crisis situations and substance abuse
• Work closely with other professional (social workers, counselors, medical staff)
• Integrate faith-based principles into addiction recovery
• Understand the spiritual needs of homeless youth

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in mental health ministry preferred
• Mission experience and/or cross-cultural experience a plus

This is a support based position that involves raising financial support through ministry partners for salary and other expenses.
